Mill Rolls are important consumables in the steel rolling process of iron and steel enterprises, as well as one of the main products of large casting and forging manufacturers. The recycling of rolls is undoubtedly changing the rolls from consumables to durable goods that can be recycled, and only the working layer of the rolls is used as consumables. However, if you want to realize the recycling of rolls, you must meet the following basic conditions:
1. The service life of the mill roll after a repair is greater than or equal to the service life of the original roll. If the performance of the working layer of the repaired roll is consistent with that of the original roll, the thickness of the working layer should be 80mm to 100 mm unilaterally. If the quality of the working layer of the repaired roll is much higher than that of the original roll, the thickness of the working layer can be appropriately reduced.
2. During the repairing process of the roll, the base of the roll remains basically unchanged and can be used repeatedly, and the stress state of the base of the roll is good after repair.
3. The newly added working layer is well integrated with the roll matrix, can withstand complex stress states, and does not occur relative sliding, peeling, cracking and other defects of the working layer.
4. The newly added working layer has high peeling resistance, good wear resistance and fatigue resistance, no defects in the working layer, uniform hardness and organization.
