1. Surfacing technology

Surfacing technology is a welding method in which molten metal is piled up on tools or machine parts by electric welding or gas welding. As a traditional repair process, surfacing technology has been used in the repair of rolls and large castings and forgings. It is the most commonly used and most mature technology in the mill roll recycling industry.

2. Setting technology

A composite roll composed of two or more materials of the working layer and the roll matrix is produced accordingly. One of the important methods is to use interference fit to combine the high-strength working layer jacket with the high-toughness roll body. For rolls formed by insert sleeve technology, the roll matrix, which accounts for more than 80% of the total, basically does not change during the rolling process and can be recycled, while the roll sleeves that account for less than 20% of the total roll weight continue to be in the rolling process. Consumption, replace the new roll sleeve after reaching the scrap standard.

3. Cladding technology

Laser cladding is a newly emerging roll surface strengthening technology in recent years. It uses high-energy laser beams to heat the surface of the mill roll. At the same time, the cladding layer material delivered to the surface of the substrate is melted with the surface of the substrate and then rapidly solidified by the substrate by self-cooling. Thereby, a dense coating that is metallurgically combined with the substrate is obtained.

Mill Roll recycling technology can not only increase corporate benefits through maintenance services, but also develop composite rolls. It is also an important core technology for the long-term development of roll manufacturing enterprises.
